Open Positions 

Avalution is always looking for excellent new people. The following positions are the two types that are available in the Cleveland, Ohio office.

New Consultants and Summer Interns

Avalution visits campuses in the fall of every year to recruit for these positions.  Please apply through your university is Avalution is visiting your school and if we are not please inquire through the Contact Us link at the bottom of this page.

Applicants must have the following:

  • A Bachelor's degree or current enrollment in a business degree program
  • Superior academic record
  • Proven student involvement and leadership
  • Initiative to learn quickly and take on additional responsibility
  • Excellent presentation, communication, and writing skills
  • Previous job experience, preferably in consulting or a technical field
  • Managing Consultant

    Avalution is currently recruiting for a Managing Consultant, either through a contract to hire or direct hire path.  Please review the following requirements and preferences and if you feel that you are a fit for this position, submit your information through the Contact Us link at the bottom of this page.

    All applicants must have the following:

    • Bachelor’s Degree or higher
    • Certification as a CBCP, MBCP, MBCI or FBCI 
    • Minimum of two years performing business continuity consulting services (business-oriented, not exclusively technology-oriented)
    • Outstanding writing skills
    • Experience managing and executing complex projects on time and on budget
    • Familiarity with designing or performing all aspects of the business continuity lifecycle (program design BIA, risk assessment, strategy development, plan documentation, exercise facilitation, training and awareness, assessment)
    • Familiarity with leading standards (i.e. BS 25999, NFPA 1600) and regulatory requirements (e.g. FFIEC)
    • Experience delivering thought leadership to individual companies (C-level executives) or via conference presentations / journal articles
    • Ability to coach and mentor more junior business continuity professionals, as well as client personnel
    • Experience and ability to deliver outstanding, second-to-none client service
      Flexibility and creativity when it comes to applying industry practices to solve complex problems
    • Willingness to participate in Avalution’s “practical” as part of the employment evaluation process

    The following are skills experiences that are also desired in our applicants:

    • Familiarity with enterprise risk management concepts and practices
    • Familiarity with Six Sigma practices
    •  Familiarity implementing and manipulating leading software packages (LDRPS 9/10, Paragon, eBRP, MyCOOP)
    • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification
    • Experience growing existing projects / client relationships, or participating in business development activities (including proposal development and client presentations)
