Once your organization has made the decision to become certified, the preparation process begins. Based on our team’s experience with organizational certification, it’s very common – even with very mature business continuity programs and management systems – that some remediation will be necessary to fully align to a standard. This is where Avalution excels. Our team has assisted numerous organizations in preparing for and successfully achieving organizational certification. In fact, Avalution successfully achieved BS 25999 certification in May 2011.
Avalution can help prepare your organization for certification in a variety of ways, including:
Readiness Assessment
Avalution’s readiness assessment provides a comprehensive, current-state program analysis that measures readiness for certification against a chosen standard – ASIS SPC.1-2009, BS 25999, or NFPA 1600 v2007/2010. The analysis will not only identify all areas of non-compliance, but also provide detailed suggestions on how to correct the issues before the audit begins. As a result, these findings will assist your organization in passing the audit the first time, saving time, money, hassle and additional resources needed to complete a second audit.
Business Continuity Management System (BCMS) Implementation/Remediation
Our team can assist your organization with meeting certification requirements identified in the readiness assessment - in whole, or in part. Our goal, as with the first business continuity consultancy in North America to be certified against BS 25999, is to prepare your organization in the most cost and time efficient way possible. Our team can also work with the audit team to discuss compliance, as well as assist throughout the course of the audit as your advocate.
