Maximize Your Business Impact Analysis

Avalution will conduct your business impact analysis in a way that will achieve management participation and produce meaningful results!

WHAT IS A BUSINESS IMPACT ANALYSIS?
A business impact analysis (BIA) is a detailed study of departments, activities, dependencies and infrastructure that provides an understanding of how the organization delivers critical products and services and the cost of a business interruption to the organization over time. The BIA is designed to clarify priorities, specifically recovery time objectives (RTOs) and recovery point objectives (RPOs).

LESS STRESS, MORE RESULTS
The BIA often causes continuity professionals unnecessary stress as they try to:

  1. Determine how to scope the BIA (e.g. organizational charts, departments/business units, facilities, critical products/services);
  2. Choose the most efficient and effective data gathering approach (e.g. interviews, questionnaires, a combination of both);
  3. Figure out the best way to analyze the raw data, and then report on it in a way that will resonate with management; and
  4. Ensure they provide the necessary justification behind identified recovery requirements.

Unfortunately, there isn’t a simple answer or a one size fits all approach to performing a BIA that works for every organization. Why? Because it differs by organization type, culture, maturity of the current business continuity program, and management expectations.

BUT, DON'T WORRY!
This is where Avalution can provide value and help you design and execute a business impact analysis that will achieve management participation and produce meaningful results!
